Is stand up paddling difficult?

No, you have mastered the basics in 10 minutes. We give an initiation so everyone can go safely on the water.

Is it safe?

Yes, we provide leashes so you stay close to your board if you would fall. Those who can not swim will receive a life jacket.

What do I have to bring along?

Yourself, good mood, swimwear, towel and sunscreen.

What kind of sup board is it?

We provide a stable type of high quality boards so that everyone can participate.

Where is the starting point?

We meet at the Royal Canoe Club Ghent, Yachtdreef 1.

The Old Harbour tour starts at the Kapitein Zepposparc, Mijnhoutkaai in Ghent.

How many people can participate?

We start from 4 people up to 15 maximum.

I'm not in shape, can I paddle the tour?

Yes, the tour is for anyone who wants to explore Ghent on the water. We adapt the length and pace of the tour according to the group.

Is the tour suitable for children?

Teens must be accompanied by an adult. There's a canoe available for kids who can't sup.

Who's responsible?

You are insured, by wearing the mandatory leash. Sup Ghent is not responsible for any accident that may occur. We trust that you respect the traffic codes that we explain to you during the initiation.

What happens when it starts to rain?

We provide a free poncho!

If I want to cancel my reservation, will I get a refund?

If you cancel within 48 hours, you will get a refund.

Are reservations required for the tour?

Yes, we always work with reservations. But don't hesitate to contact us last minute!

Are custom made tours or at another time/date possible?

Can I rent a sup board myself?

No, we prefer to take you on one of our tours.

Can I take a shower?

Changing rooms and showers are provided at the departure point of all the tours (except the Old Harbour tour).

There's always a place where you can safely store your belongings.
